WellTree Psychology is committed to protecting the privacy, confidentiality and security of personal and health information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store and protect information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), the Health Records Act 2001 (Vic) and other applicable laws and professional obligations. 2. Who We Are
WellTree Psychology provides psychological assessment, therapy, neurodevelopmental assessments (including Autism and ADHD), cognitive assessments, functional capacity assessments and medico-legal psychological services throughout Australia via telehealth and, where available, in person.
3. Information We Collect
We may collect identification details, contact details, health information, referral information, appointment details, Medicare or funding information, payment details, assessment responses, psychometric test results, clinical notes, reports, correspondence and other information reasonably necessary to provide psychological services.
4. How We Collect Information
Information is collected directly from you through enquiries, bookings, consent forms, questionnaires, appointments and communications. With your consent or where authorised by law, information may also be collected from parents, carers, schools, treating practitioners, referrers, insurers, NDIS providers and other relevant parties.
5. Sensitive Health Information
Health information is collected only where reasonably necessary to provide psychological services. This includes developmental, medical, psychiatric, educational and psychosocial history, assessment results, diagnoses and treatment information.
6. Children
Where services are provided to children or adolescents, information may be collected from parents, guardians, caregivers, schools and other professionals involved in the child's care. We consider the child's age, maturity and legal rights when managing confidentiality.
7. Website
Our website is hosted by Wix. Website enquiries may include your name, email, telephone number and enquiry details. Cookies and technical information may also be collected to improve website performance and security.
8. Telehealth
Telehealth consultations are provided through Zoom. Sessions are not routinely recorded. If recording is required for a clinical or legal purpose, informed consent will be obtained before recording commences.
9. Practice Management
WellTree Psychology uses Halaxy for appointment scheduling, secure clinical records, invoicing and practice management.
10. Artificial Intelligence
WellTree Psychology does not use artificial intelligence to analyse consultations, generate clinical notes, interpret psychological assessments or make clinical decisions. All clinical opinions and reports are prepared by a registered psychologist.
11. Use of Information
Information is used to provide psychological services, communicate with clients, prepare reports, manage appointments, process payments, coordinate care, comply with legal obligations and improve our services.
12. Disclosure
Information may be disclosed with your consent, where reasonably necessary for your care, or where required or authorised by law, including to treating practitioners, schools, lawyers, courts, insurers, government agencies or regulators.
13. Security
Reasonable administrative, physical and technical safeguards are implemented to protect personal information from misuse, interference, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure.
14. Retention
Clinical records are retained in accordance with Victorian legal requirements and applicable professional standards. Records are securely destroyed or de-identified when no longer required.
15. Access and Correction
You may request access to or correction of your personal information. Identity verification may be required and access may be limited where permitted by law.
16. Complaints
Privacy concerns should be directed to WellTree Psychology. If unresolved, complaints may be made to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner or the Victorian Health Complaints Commissioner.

Additional Privacy Practices
WellTree Psychology limits collection of personal information to what is reasonably necessary for the provision of psychological services. Access to records is restricted to authorised personnel. Confidential information is handled in accordance with ethical obligations, professional standards and applicable legislation. Clients are encouraged to notify us if their contact details change.
